Corner Bakery Cafe In-Store Marketing
Corner Bakery Cafe began as an intimate bakery in Chicago, serving up chef-inspired meals with the freshest ingredients. To connect with a more youthful generation of customers, Brandcory proposed a year-long in-store campaign that would change design dramatically across the different marketing windows. The goal was to keep the attention of returning customers and draw in new ones by focusing on the rotating feature item for that particular time of year.
Drawing inspiration from the brand’s iconic black and white awnings, the first concept features alternating black and white photography and unlimited inspiration for typographic and graphic elements.
Based on the existing Corner Bakery rotation of feature items, I sampled dramatically lit black and white food photography that featured a singular item. Then, I set to work pairing each photograph with a typographic style that best told the story of each featured item's ingredients.
