The Delta Blues Museum Campaign
The Delta Blues Museum is where the blues began. Dedicated to preserving the history of this unique American music form, this Clarksdale museum intersects at Highway 61 & 49 (the crossroads).
The wealth of artifacts and history found here is enough to inspire any lover of blues to make the pilgrimage down to Mississippi. The mystery surrounding so many of the founding fathers of blues, particularly that of Robert Johnson, inspired me to developed the Delta Blues Bible for pilgrims of the blues. Robert Johnson, and many other artists, are said to have “sold their souls to the devil” for the power to play the blues. This "bible" features stories of the blues artists, their journeys to the “promised land” of the crossroads, and a historical record of key locations scattered across Mississippi.
